The chat. I originally wanted to do something a bit more true to the game but there isn't much of a chat app in game. So I just mashed a couple sources together. I wrote 13 unique text walls that just loop and blur.

See? Waters always a struggle and this one, despite being a one-off, I wanted to actually do like the foam and rushing on shore, and wetness and stuff. It came out alright for someone who didn't know any of this beforehand but could have been better.

Since the "twist" of Mask Boi being in the crowd, I couldn't show the other half of the audience for most of it. But he's to the right, just outside of frame.

So fun fact. These character proportions are so all over the place that doing any interesting close cinematography always looks comedic. I wanted to get everyone in here but everyone covers everyone. Look at those melon heads.

I was afraid to animate this the entire time. So many rigs! But it wasn't that bad. Basically two animation sets were reused on everyone.

What you might not know is this entire sequence is inspired by the silent auction in Get Out. Like no joke. It's almost a shot-for-shot recreation.

Mask Boi is directly behind. You can see his shoulder point out. Everyone else moves more to draw the least amount of attention to him.

And here, it's just the stick raising. If you look closely in the video, the reflection off the board shows the stick being moved by a ghost.

This sequence has music playing in the BG but there's no actual player ever seen. I thought that would be a problem but eh.
